Untamed Celtic Folk n‘ RollA guitar, a fiddle and a bagpipe – that’s how The Green Goblins started out in 2017. As a street music band, they quickly made a name for themselves in the border triangle of Switzerland, Germany and France with their unmistakable and captivating way of giving traditional Irish songs a new lease of life. The band won the ‘Rhythmus unter freiem Himmel’ music competition in Emmendingen in the year it was founded and the first demo recordings were also made.The band remained true to its purely acoustic arrangement for a long time, but expanded to include a percussionist. With their energetic performances, their melodious and powerful songs, The Green Goblins expanded their geographical area and performed widely in pubs, on smaller stages, as street music and at private events. During this time, they also conquered the stages of medieval markets, where they were a welcome and celebrated guests.The Green Goblins continued to develop musically. They developed their own style in the interpretation of traditional Irish songs and gave them the necessary amount of drive. Original compositions, powerful, epic, melodic songs in the style of Celtic Folk’n’Roll expanded the repertoire. In the early 2020s, bagpipes and acoustic percussion were replaced by electric guitar and drums and an electric bass completed the musical setup. The first EP ‘Arandore’ was released during this time.Today, the band plays an unusual, interesting and captivating mix of electric and acoustic instruments. With their music, which is often described as boundless and untamed Celtic folk’n’roll, The Green Goblins successfully tour throughout Switzerland, southern Germany and Alsace, playing up to 50 concerts a year. Their performances bear witness to the musicians‘ experience and unbroken enthusiasm. Their energetic performances captivate the audience and make an evening with The Green Goblins an unforgettable experience.The Green Goblins are still in the fast lane: the first music video for ‘Roll On’ was created in 2024, The Green Goblins have been working with Rockstar Publisher since 2025 and a new album is in the making.
